Interested in becoming a taxi driver? The Birmingham local authority requires you to take a taxi driving test. This assessment will provide you with the full qualifications needed for you to accept fares for paying passengers. I can train one driver or if needed, whole fleets. THERE ARE 3 FORMS OF TAXI DRIVER TRAINING ASSESSMENT
The test lasts approximately 40 minutes and like the normal driving test, will involve an eye test at the start. The test involves independent driving as well as carrying out a manoeuvre (either a turn in the road, reverse around a corner or using side roads on the left to complete turning in the road). At the end of the test you will be asked to answer questions: 6 road sign questions from the highway code, 6 verbal questions from the new highway code book from 2022. You can only make up to 9 minor faults, no dangerous or serious faults throughout the test.

STANDARD ASSESSMENT
The standard assessment teaches you everything you need to be able to operate a taxi, with the safety and comfort of your passengers your utmost priority.
ENHANCED ASSESSMENT
This assessment is the same as the standard assessment but also includes an exercise involving how to properly utilise the taxi's disabled facilities to cater for customers in wheelchairs​
UPGRADE ASSESSMENT
You can take this test once you have already passed the standard assessment. This will enable you to carry passengers who require the use of a wheelchair.​
